After almost a month of searching, my roommate and I signed the lease on a new apartment. Rents in NYC are much lower than usual right now, so we were able to find a great place in our price range. We are still on the Upper East Side, in an area called Yorkville. Tour new building is on a nice side street with lots of trees and pre-war brownstones. The apartment is so cute, with a (faux) fireplace, lots of windows, and a great eat-in kitchen. I cannot wait to move in on October 1st.
